Position Description: Part-time Marketing, IT & Social Media Manager

 

 

Summary of Scope of Position

 

The Marketing, IT & Social Media manager has responsibility to maintain and manage the website and social media presence of SSAAM; manages public relations and outreach to related and partner organizations; manages donor lists and online sales; coordinates with marketing committee and implements marketing plans.

 

Accountability

 

Appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees. Reports to the Executive Director.

 

Areas of Responsibility

 

Generally:

  1. Work with the Marketing & Social Media Committee Chairperson to schedule, attend and report on marketing meetings.

  2. Maintain and create webpages as needed, monitor Wix/PayPal dashboards.

  3. Monitors website emails from multiple accounts.

  4. Create and maintain Google for Nonprofits suite of platforms and YouTube account.

  5. Manage Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube accounts for maximum organization visibility.

  6. Assist organization with purchase and set up of necessary hardware and software.

  7. Merchandise development and sales management.

  8. Other such duties as assigned by ED.

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

  1. Thoroughly committed to SSAAM’s mission and vision.

  2. Thoroughly committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the organization and its programs.

  3. Associate’s degree or equivalent.

  4. Marketing experience.

  5. IT experience and skills necessary to complete tasks described in Areas above.

  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  7. Strong computer and social media skills.

  8. Action-oriented, positive attitude, self-directed.

 

 

 

Hours and Compensation

 

  1. Hours: 10 hours/week

  2. Salary based on qualifications and experience.

  3. Benefits not included.

  4. As this is a part-time position, vacation days, holidays and personal illness days are not included. The employee may determine when to work the 20 hours, based on his/her schedule, SSAAM’s board and committee meeting schedule, and SSAAM’s program schedule.
