Sponsor SSAAM's Juneteenth Celebration!

11 AM - 3 PM
Join Us for Juneteenth - A Celebration of Freedom in Support of SSAAM
The heritage of the African-American spirit is a triumph of brilliance and resilience, and an unwavering belief in America’s highest ideals and freedoms!
What is Juneteenth? Juneteenth (a blend of June and nineteenth) is now a federal holiday commemorating the day that federal troops arrived in Texas in 1865 and liberated enslaved people who remained in bondage—unaware they had been freed after the Civil War had ended.
How do we celebrate Juneteenth? To commemorate this significant historical event, join our founders Elaine Buck and Beverly Mills, and the SSAAM community for a lively afternoon of festivities including live music, theater, art creation with professional artisans, traditional foods, desserts, family-focused activities, and educational programming.
Please join community-minded businesses and private donors to support Central New Jersey’s only African American museum as we move forward to fulfill our mission of education, preservation, research and community healing and building.
