Twin Hunt Farm Fundraiser

Saturday, June 16, 2018

Hopewell Township, NJ

The Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum recently held a fundraiser that included an afternoon of music, light fare and cocktails, at Twin Hunt Farm in Hopewell Township.

The Burial Ground at Twin Hunt Farm is the resting place for several of Hopewell Valley's pioneer families and historians surmise, many of the slaves that served their households. Max Hayden of Maximillian Hayden Architect Inc. and Chair of Hopewell Township’s Historic Preservation Commission shared information about the historic significance of Twin Hunt Farm, and Edward J. Raser, historian and author, gave an informative talk about the burial grounds. Participants enjoyed live music by Clyde St. Clifford and the Omnidextrous Jazz Ensemble from Princeton. Thanks to hosts, Noel Long and Robert Ridolfi! Photos by SSAAM Trustee, Kevin Burkman.
